WordPress Hosting

We do not currently offer a domain registration service, so you will need to register your domain with a third-party, then update your DNS nameservers to point to your hosting account. You can use any domain registrar you like, as long as they offer this level of DNS control - we recommend GoDaddy.

Please note that you will need to register your domain before signing up with us, as we need to know your domain name at registration.

This could be for a couple of reasons:

• Our advertised prices apply when you sign up for a year; shorter-term subscriptions work out slightly more expensive in the long term.
• Depending on what day of the month you sign up, you may be charged a pro-rata amount so that your next bill becomes due on the 1st of the month.

Those who offer unlimited resources are banking on the fact that most customers will never consume significant amounts of what is ultimately a finite resource. And those that do will invariably be moved onto a “more suitable” package before too long. Here at Hippo Web Solutions we prefer to be upfront with customers. We’re confident you’ll find our resource allocations are more than adequate for most sites.

We are committed to your privacy and will never rent, sell or otherwise share your information. And all payments are handled by PayPal - market leaders in online transactions - who utilise state-of-the-art secure servers.

You’re entitled to a full refund within 30 days of signup - please raise a support ticket. Please note that you will only be eligible for a refund for our premium WordPress support if you haven’t used the service.

No refunds will be made outside of the 30 day refund window.

Technical support is concerned with ensuring the web server on which your site resides runs smoothly, and helping to resolve infrastructural issues that impinge on the service you have signed up to. This does not extend to tutoring you in the finer points of FTP, blogging, or any of the third-party applications you can install in your hosting account.

We specialise in hosting WordPress sites and have expertise in using it ourselves. However, not all our customers need or want this service, so to keep prices down across the board, we offer WordPress support as a premium service to those that want it.

We have no guaranteed response time, but aim to respond as quickly as possible, and certainly within 24 hours. Depending on the nature of your query it may take longer than this to resolve it though!
